Being in Paris
I’ve only really spent time in Paris for one weekend the whole time I’ve been here. I’ve been traveling every weekend and working on homework/recovering from parties all my free days that I’m not traveling. Today we had a picnic under the Eiffel Tower and then climbed it, then walked down Champs-Élysées and bought macarons at Ladurée, walked along the Seine, and ate a cheap dinner in the Latin Quarter. I took the hour-long train back to campus by myself. It was the perfect Parisian day and made me realize how I won’t get to live like this for a long, long time, if ever again.
Tomorrow I will be spending the day in Versailles, then I’ll be going to the Louvre on Monday. Maybe on Tuesday I’ll hit up Musée D’Orsay. I need to pack everything in! I also need to find a way to try all the different confections at Ladurée before I leave without gaining 20 pounds.
