Vonnie's Travels

Recounting my studies & travels while at HEC - Paris.

I finished my Organization Theory midterm within 45 minutes after triple checking my answers because I was so nervous to get up and leave first. I finally just went for it and had to endure the stares of every single French student in my class as they gawked in disbelief. It really wasn’t that hard. I understand that I’m a fast test taker and usually finish first in any given class, but I always feel like such a freak to be the first one to hand it in. We’ll see how my grades fare compared to them. A guy in my class told me that people at HEC usually get C’s and only 5 people last year got all A’s and B’s. Goodbye, grade inflation that I’m used to. Hello, all pass/fail classes. (I’m required to convert all my classes to pass/fail back home, except those for my French minor. Those grades actually count.)

It’s so easy to slack off when I know it’s fine if I get a C. But it’s never been easy for me to actually slack off. I always somehow make the Dean’s List at the end of the semester. School is just the one thing that comes easily for me.
